Coach Dale
Palmer is a 1988 graduate of Deshler High School. He graduated from
Athens State in December of 1995 with a B.S. Degree in Education with
endorsements in PE and Biology.
Coach Dale
Palmer came to Sparkman in the fall of 1996 as Head Softball Coach and
Assistant Football Coach. In his 13 years at Sparkman, he coached
football for 5 years, girls basketball for 3 years and has been the
girls Softball Coach for all 13 years.
In the 13
years as the Softball Coach, he has lead the Lady Senators to the State
Tournament 4 times with a runner up finish in 2007 and State
Championships in 2006 and 2009 while accumulating a total of 499 total
wins.
Twenty-five
players off of those teams have gone on to receive scholarships in
College and one of those has achieved All-American status. Currently 3
players on this years team are committed to play at the next level.

Coach Dale Palmer is
married to wife Stacy, who works on staff at Sparkman High School. They have two
children: Hannah who is currently a 10th grader at Sparkman plays on the
softball team. Brandon is a 7th grader who goes to Monrovia Middle School.

Stewart

Coach Stewart
played 2 years at Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa where he
led the Conference in Triples, he went on to the University of Alabama
in Huntsville and played for 2 years where at one time held a record for
most at bats in a game with 7.
He started Coaching fastpitch in 1999 with Vann Stuedeman (who is now
the pitching Coach at the University of Alabama) at East Limestone where
they had their first ever winning season. In 2002 he helped his wife at
Monrovia Middle where they won the county championship and finished 28-9
and did the same the following year where they finished 47-3.
Coach Stewart has been at Sparkman since 2004-05 season as the hitting
Coach and has helped them win two State titles. One in 2006 and the
other in 2009 along with a runner up in 2007.
He is married to Wendy Hurst Stewart ( who is a 4 time all-American
pitcher and still holds NCAA record for most innings pitched in a season
411) They have a 9 year old daughter named Kaylee Brees Stewart.
