20/20 Fund Raiser
Please begin a list of at least 20
names and addresses of family,
friends, doctor, dentist, etc...
We will explain details at the
meeting, but you will need to be
prepared to start.
We need to gauge where we are
on the presales of our coupon books. Have you finished selling
your 20 books? Do you want to sell more? Please contact me
and let me know your status by this Thursday, Aug 27th. We are
coming up on our next booster club meeting (Sept 3rd). If you do
not plan on selling your books, then they must be turned in by this
date. If you need more time, you will have a few more weeks to
sell the books that you hold out. The presales of this fund raiser
ends on Sept 3rd. We must complete a reconciliation, deposit, and PO for
the books that we plan to keep. Don't forget to contact me this
week. Good luck on the completion of this fund raiser.
8/15/09Fundraiser and Financial Information
There are 4 fundraisers sponsored by the Softball Booster Club to
fund the budget of the Sparkman Softball Program
- Enjoy the City coupon books: Sell for $20 each, we keep $10 from
each book sold.
- 20/20 Fundraiser: Players send requests letters to friends,
family, dentists doctors, etc ..... asking for $20 from each.
This is $1 per mile pledge for the player to run 20 miles during
conditioning this fall.
- Softball Media Guide: Sell personal and business ads for the
media guide. Ads will be sold at the following rate: Full page
$125 Half Page $75 Quarter Page $50 and business card size $30.
Booster members may purchase personal Ads (Quarter Page Minimum) at
the following rates: Full page $100 Half Page $50 and 1/4 page $25.
- Sign Sale: Sell fence banners and small signs for the concession
stand wall. Signs will sell for the following prices: Large Fence
Banner $250 New $150 renewal: Signs $125 Renewal $100. We will also
sell personalized softball shaped signs with players names and
numbers to those booster members who wish to purchase them. They
will hang on the fence in the outfield.
Each player is responsible for helping raise the money needed to run
the program. There are 29 players and to reach our budget of almost
$27,000 will require will require dedication from each family.
Here is the Breakdown for reaching our goal:
Seniors(5): $100 Family Membership fee + 500 from fundraising for a
total of $600 per player.
Juniors, Sophomores and freshmen(24): $100 Family membership fee +
$825 from fundraising for a total of $925 per player
Buyouts for fundraisers are as follows and are due when fundraiser
are complete. Membership is due now. All fundraisers will be completed
by the end of January so that we can enjoy the season without worrying
Even with this level of fundraising we will not meet our laid out
budget needs, so we are encouraging all players put in extra effort in
to make more the their required amount.
All checks collected must have the following Information:
- Correct Street Address - NO PO Boxes
- Telephone Number
- Drivers Number
- Made out to Sparkman Softball Booster Club or Sparkman Softball
No checks with missing information will be accepted. I cannot turn in
checks into the school for deposit without the above information. They
will be returned to you to gather the information and the players
account will not be credited until the requirements are met.
A players account update will be given out at each booster meeting
along with receipts for the money received for fundraising so that you
will know monthly what your financial status is. A financial report will
also be available at the meetings.
